The umbel inflorescence blooms simultaneously with the leaves, 5-15 cm in diameter, without large sterile flowers. It has reddish-brown glands on the calyx tube, with 5-7 primary rays bearing flowers on the second to third order branches.
It is also distributed in India, Nepal, Sikkim, Bhutan, northern Myanmar, and northern Vietnam.
They are papery, ovate to broadly ovate, occasionally narrowly elliptic, 9-18 cm long, gradually pointed at the tip, heart-shaped or rounded at the base, with irregularly blunt or rounded teeth along the edges.
Initially red, turning black, oval, about 8 mm long and 6-7 mm in diameter, with a flattened stone that has a shallow dorsal groove and a deep ventral groove.
