越南槐的叶子为羽状复叶，长10-15厘米；小叶5-9对，革质或近革质，对生或近互生，椭圆形、长圆形或卵状长圆形，长15-25毫米，宽10-15毫米。
紫花越南槐的花是深紫色的。
花期为5-7月，果期为8-12月。
