唇瓣紫红色或紫褐色，有黄绿色边缘或晕，倒盔状，基部具宽阔的、长约1.5厘米的柄。
花期为10-12月。
Paphiopedilum insigne (Lindl.) Pfitz.
叶片带形或线状舌形，长15-40厘米，宽2-3厘米。
